Sheer-ly a miss! Brooklyn Decker makes rare fashion misstep in patterned see-through dress which hides her Sports Illustrated curves

She's famous for sizzling in a bikini on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
So it was somewhat confounding that Brooklyn Decker could get it so wrong on the red carpet.
The swimsuit model made a fashion misstep in an ill-fitting sheer patterned dress on Monday at a Vanity Affair event in Los Angeles.

The gorgeous 25-year-old covered up her famous curves in the knee-length dress at the Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture's Celebration of the 2013 Vanities Calendar.
The frock was a patchwork of snakeskin, stripes, and solid blocks of yellow and black segments, it's elbow-length sleeves trimmed with thick white paneling.
The bizarre creation was transparent, revealing the model's black bra.
But rather than come off as sexy, it only added to the confusing mishmash of colour, texture and shade.

Brooklyn - the wife of former tennis star Andy Roddick - added height to her frame in a pair of grey strappy heels, accessorising with a large white clutch.

Her newly dyed brunette hair matched her outfit, but it only served to wash out the usually stunning cover girl's complexion.

Her lipstick was also a brown colour, when a pop of red may have worked better to brighten the  ensemble.

The outfit was a far cry from her stylish, playful number earlier this month at the Time Warner Centre in New York. 

Brooklyn cut a flirty and feminine figure in her pretty rose pink fishtail skirt and a tiny black cropped top, which showed off her envy-inducing washboard abs in all their glory.
